Theodore Leo Lutringer, “Ted”, 84 a long time resident of Marble Falls, Texas passed awaypeacefully with his family on February 4, 2016 in Slaton, Texas. Ted was born on February 4th,1932 in Taiton, Texas to Leo Lutringer and Ludmilla Marie Scotka.He graduated from El Campo High School and attended the University of Houston where heplayed football and earned a B.B.A in Accounting. He married his late high school sweetheart,Shirley Christenberry of 55 years. After serving in the Army, he began a long career in the oiland gas business, retiring in 1981 as the Controller of Mesa Petroleum Co. of Amarillo, Texas.He was a member of the Episcopal Church, an outdoorsman and a loving family man.He is survived by his three daughters and one son; Rebecca and Randy Meador of Lubbock,Nancy and Tom Lacey of Fairview, James Kevin and Cindy Lutringer of Garland, Alison andCory Alcala of Marietta, Ga; and seven grandchildren, Kirsten Meador, Matt and Lana Meador,Nicholas Lutringer, Jaclyn and Cody Moore, Molly Lacey, Alexandra and Tyler Alcala; hisbrothers Lester and Leon Lutringer, sister Willie May Cykala and late sister Lilly.A family service was held in celebration of his life and a an interment will be held at a later datein South Texas.In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Alzheimer’s Association, alzfdn.org in honor ofTed Lutringer.
