Theodore Leo Lutringer, “Ted”, 84 a long time resident of Marble Falls, Texas passed away
peacefully with his family on February 4, 2016 in Slaton, Texas. Ted was born on February 4th,
1932 in Taiton, Texas to Leo Lutringer and Ludmilla Marie Scotka.
He graduated from El Campo High School and attended the University of Houston where he
played football and earned a B.B.A in Accounting. He married his late high school sweetheart,
Shirley Christenberry of 55 years. After serving in the Army, he began a long career in the oil
and gas business, retiring in 1981 as the Controller of Mesa Petroleum Co. of Amarillo, Texas.
He was a member of the Episcopal Church, an outdoorsman and a loving family man.
He is survived by his three daughters and one son; Rebecca and Randy Meador of Lubbock,
Nancy and Tom Lacey of Fairview, James Kevin and Cindy Lutringer of Garland, Alison and
Cory Alcala of Marietta, Ga; and seven grandchildren, Kirsten Meador, Matt and Lana Meador,
Nicholas Lutringer, Jaclyn and Cody Moore, Molly Lacey, Alexandra and Tyler Alcala; his
brothers Lester and Leon Lutringer, sister Willie May Cykala and late sister Lilly.
A family service was held in celebration of his life and a an interment will be held at a later date
in South Texas.

Ted Lutringer.
