Teta Marie Kirtley, 94, of Slaton, TX passed away on September 21, 2024. She was born on September 6,1930 in Ralls, TX to Marion and Della Lue Hughes.

She was an extraordinary woman and a pilar of strength. Her greatest joy was planning trips and traveling with her husband, Gordon. Always side-by-side, they ventured thousands of miles to experience the natural wonders of our nation.

Teta is survived by her children; Penny Carpenter (husband Clint) and Danny Colwell (wife Carol); six grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband Gordon Kirtley on April 27, 2023; her parents Marion and Della Lue Hughes; and sons Kevin Kirtley and Dennis Colwell.
