The family of Steven Bernstein will celebrate his life of 71 years at 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday, December 15, 2020, at Chapel. He passed on Saturday, December 12, 2020. Seating is limited to 65 seats, face coverings are mandatory, and the staff will enforce social distancing in compliance with state regulations. The service will be live-streamed on this page, where you are encouraged to sign the virtual guestbook and share memories and expressions of sympathy.On November 1, 1949, Steven was born to Allen and Tatiana Bernstein in Miami, Florida. Steven Charles Bernstein, 71, passed on December 12, 2020.He married Emy (Mohamed-Bernstein) in 2004, and they lived together in Lubbock, Texas. Together they raised Saif Bernstein. Steven also has two children with Sharon Bernstein, Greg Bernstein (Kendra), Robyn St. Clair (David). He is also survived by five grandchildren, Lyric, August, Rowan, Ellis, and Campbell.Steve graduated from Coral Gables High School in 1967. He then enlisted in the ROTC at Kent St. He received a degree in business administration in 1971 and graduated as a second lieutenant in the Air Force. After college, Steve was sent to Reese Air Force base in Lubbock, TX. He became a flight instructor in the T37 and rose to become a captain in the air force. After retiring from the Air Force, Steve started Levelland Aviation in 1980 and Jacksboro Seaplane School. Steve taught hundreds of international students that went on to become an airline pilot across the world. Steve retired in 2014. He was awarded the Wright Brothers Master Pilot 50 years of flying award in 2017.Steve loved his family, aviation, politics, stock market, reading, and always had a great punch line or joke. We will miss him dearly, and we will see him soon.
