Stephen Michael Jenkins, 82, passed away peacefully on June 21 in Lubbock, TX. A lifelong Texan, Mike was born on May 5, 1943 in Hamlin, TX to Altus and Tula Jenkins. He was the youngest of 3 children.
Mike proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army, June 1960-1964. After being discharged, Mike returned to Texas and worked as a welder. He later became a truck driver and auto mechanic. Mike loved his days of Harley motorcycle riding and truly enjoyed fellowship with his friends. He was happiest watching his grandchildren grow and play, which gave him so much joy and entertainment.
Mike is survived by daughter Lindsey Gailey, her husband Ronny Gailey, their children Ruby and River; his sister Maureen Gass; nephew Steve Gass; niece Jennifer Long; and great nephew Jeffery Miller Jenkins III.
Mike is preceded in death by his parents, brother Jeffery Miller Jenkins, and nephew Jeffery Miller Jenkins II.
