Stefanie Dawn Rankin was born June 18, 1970, to Don & Yvette Peel in San Antonio, Texas. Stefanie attended Churchill High School and moved to Lubbock in 1987. Stefanie graduated from Monterey High School in Lubbock in 1988. Stefanie attended Texas Tech University and graduated from Wayland Baptist University with her MBA. Stefanie married Stephen Rankin on August 16, 1993, in Lubbock. Stefanie worked as a controller for Stenocall and moved to Garden City, Kansas, and South Dakota before returning to Lubbock in 2005. Stefanie & Stephen moved to their home in Lorenzo, Texas in 2015 where they enjoyed the country life. Stefanie loved gardening, growing pumpkins, feeding her chickens, being “YaYa” to her grandchildren, and spending time with family & friends. Stefanie loved the lake life and always took trips to float the river or spend time on the lake with family & friends. She also enjoyed camping and traveling in the travel trailer with friends. Stefanie was also a member of the Xi Gamma Sigma sorority. Stefanie & Stephen are members of Southcrest Baptist Church in Lubbock.

Many thanks to the countless friends & family who brought food and sat with Stefanie in her final weeks.

Stefanie is survived by her husband, Stephen of Lorenzo; her son Forrest of Dallas; daughter Kamber (Jacob) DeWolfe of Lubbock; granddaughter Hadley of Lubbock; grandson Bennett of Lubbock; brother James Peel of Lubbock; mother, Yvette Peel of Lubbock. Stefanie’s father, Don Peel, preceded her in death.
