The family of Shirley Wallace will celebrate her life of 76 years at 2:00 pm on Monday, September 28, 2020, at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers. The family will host a time of fellowship and remembrance from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Sunday, September 27, 2020, at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers.  She passed away on Friday, September 25, 2020, in her home surrounded by her family. In support of the health of her family, face coverings are mandatory while attending the service and visitation.  The service will be live-streamed and be available for thirty days on this page. Shirley Wallace was born on November 18, 1943, to Carl and Helen Cunningham in Littlefield, TX. Shirley married Billy on October 12, 1962, in Bailey County. She was a hairdresser at Carla’s Beauty Salon until she had her girls. She helped her husband run Wallace Trucking for many years before retiring in 2003. She loved her family with all her heart and soul.

Survivors include her two daughters, Annette Martinez and husband Jerry, and Sandra Attebury; four grandchildren, Brody Lane Attebury, Megan Nicole Martinez, Katlynn “Katie” Attebury, and Mason Martinez, all of Lubbock; two brothers, Bill Cunningham and wife Evelyn of Ft. Stockton, Wayne Cunningham and wife Joyce of Levelland; sister, Linda Henry and husband Terry of Levelland; brother-in-law, James Wallace and wife Kathie of Euless; sister-in-law, Melba Dies of Azle; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Billy A Wallace; and brother, Bobby Cunningham.


The family of Shirley Wallace has designated Hospice of Lubbock or St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital for memorial contributions donated in her memory.
