It was an honor and a pleasure to have known Shirley Parker. She was such a kind sweet soul. We will miss her. Our thoughts and prayers are with Doyle and their family. May sweet memories bring peace during this difficult time. It will be a little bit darker here on earth but the heavens will shine brighter because Shirley was called home. Love, Rhonda & Joe Yetzer

Beyond her obvious love of family, we will always recall Shirley as the teacher and coach's wife. We could count seeing and hearing Shirley at her absolute best when telling us the wonderful stories of her children, teaching roles, and following Doyle Parker all over the state of Texas while he pursued coaching and athletic director opportunities. We have little doubt that she loved every second of her life. Shirley was so blessed in many ways, but having her own personal "John Wayne" was her biggest blessing. Her husband, Doyle, was her "John Wayne". He taught us all about strength, courage, and patience by his example. God bless Doyle, and his entire family.
