The family of Sheila Ivey will celebrate her life of 49 years at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, May 26, 2021, at the Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park Cemetery. We invite you to sign her virtual guestbook and download her memorial keepsake folder to your device for printing here on this page.

On September 9, 1971, Sheila Elaine was born to Winston and Velma Ritchey in Dallas, TX. She married Billy Ivey on January 14, 1993, in Slaton, Texas. She was extremely talented with her words. She could articulate poems that would impact complete strangers. She left many spiral notebooks for her children and grandchildren to keep close as lasting memories. She loved elephants and what they stood for. She loved contributing her time and efforts to the Lubbock Battered Women’s shelter. Her love for her daughters and grandchildren is untouched and her presence will always be remembered.

Survivors include her children, Ashley (Cody Schoonover) Ivey, of Lubbock, Marissa (Michael) Stabinsky, Christen Ivey, of Slaton; grandchildren, Kylan Galindo, Codie Schoonover, Andy Alvarez, Jayden Casarez, Mia Stabinsky; siblings, Theresa (John) Horrocks, Michelle (Jackie) Jackson.

She was preceded in death by her father, Winston Ritchey; her mother, Velma Ritchey; and her husband, Billy Ivey.
The family would like to thank Linda Reynolds, Brad Gaydos, and Phillip Estrada who watched our mom and continuously took care of her needs when we couldn’t always be there.

The family of Sheila Ivey has designated The Scleroderma Foundation for memorial contributions donated in her memory.
