Sharon Fay McConnell, 78, of Lubbock, TX, passed away on October 3, 2022.
Sharon was born on December 12, 1944, to Ewell and Ester Hittson in Tucumcari, New Mexico. Sharon moved with her parents to Dalhart, Texas shortly after her birth. After Sharon graduated from Dalhart High School, she moved to Pampa, Texas.
On May 28, 1966, she married Calvin Walter McConnell. They made their home in Pampa for 6 years. Sharon and Calvin moved to the farm in Carson County in 1973, where they resided until they moved to Lubbock in 2002.
Sharon was a member of the Beta Sigma Phi and a Cub Scout Den Leader in White Deer, TX. Sharon was also a member of the White Deer United Methodist Church.
Sharon is preceded in death by her husband Calvin McConnell in 2021; her sister Shirley Hammett, and two brothers, Page Kingston, and James Potter.
Survivors include her son, Ruston McConnell and wife Linda of Plano, TX; her daughter Stacy Klemke and husband Troy of Lubbock, TX; grandchildren, Benjamin and Philip McConnell of Plano, TX and Kaitlyn and Colton Klemke of Lubbock, TX.
