Obituary
The family of Shahriar “Cy” Daneshfar will celebrate his life of 34 years at 8:30 am on Tuesday, October 26, 2021, in the Chapel. His family will host a time of fellowship and remembrance from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Monday, October 25, 2021, at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers. He passed on Wednesday, October 20, 2021. On September 6, 1987, Shahriar “Cy” Daneshfar was born to Bejan and Guita Daneshfar in San Antonio, Texas. He married Ellie on June 20th, 2016, in Lubbock, Texas. Cy graduated from the Texas Tech University Health Science Center School of Medicine in 2018 with a dual degree of Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Doctor of Medicine (MD). He worked in Lubbock and specialized in Orthopaedic Surgery, planning to attend Orthopaedic Trauma Fellowship after completing his Residency in a few months.
Survivors include his wife, Ellie Daneshfar; their children, Sophia and Ari Daneshfar; his father, Dr. Bejan Joseph Daneshfar; his mother, Guita B. Daneshfar; his step-mother, Judi Daneshfar; his step-father, Saeid Akavan; sister, Shayda Daneshfar Craddick; brother-in-law, Kirk Craddick; nephew, Cohen Craddick; step-siblings, Paige Larsen, Brecken Larson, Babak Akavan, Kayvon Akavan, and paternal grandmother, Mino Daneshfar.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Mansour Daneshfar; his maternal grandparents, Reza and Efat Bonakdar-Hashemi.
Memorials
The family of Shahriar “Cy” Daneshfar has designated a future Scholarship at Texas Tech Health Sciences Center School of Medicine to be formed, all memorial contributions may be donated in his memory when the Scholarship is established.
