With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved Sarah Marie Brown on June 1, 2024. Sarah was born on October 29, 1987, the third of four children to John Paul and Donna Beth Brown.

Sarah graduated from Monterey High School. She went on to receive her bachelor’s degree from Texas Tech Health Sciences Center in Speech Language and Hearing Sciences. Dedicated to learning and education, Sarah continued her journey receiving her master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology from West Texas A&M. She was dedicated speech language pathologist working as an early childhood interventionist, using her talents to help children communicate and connect with the world around them.

Sarah leaves behind her father, John Paul Brown, and her loving siblings, Walter Colin Brown, Laura Helen Brown, Kimberly Beth Rindlisbacher and brother-in-law, Taylor Rindlisbacher, who will forever cherish the memories they shared with her. Her presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Sarah was preceded in death by her mother, Donna Beth Brown.

Sarah was truly someone to look upto. She was so incredibly intelligent ,kind and loving. As a teen I remember going into YW and being so nervous, but that first Sunday Sarah walked upto me and started getting to know me. I remember thinking how great it was this cool older girl was talking to me. This is who Sarah was, someone who was a friend to all. Through our years of friendship she was someone who would check on me and just call to see how I was. Those small acts of love are something I will cherish forever. I’m so incredibly grateful for the memories and great times we had. Rest in peace Sarah. Thank you for showing me kindness, for being a friend and for being fiercely loving.

Hey lil mama. It’s hard to pick just one memory to post, which is a blessing. We bonded over so many hardships, but we also shared tons of interests. One memory I love is when you came to our Halloween party as Sally from Nightmare Before Christmas in a dress you made. Everyone loved it. And you. You made my life brighter. I love you forever, my soul sister.

Sarah helped our family create one of our most precious memories. Ten years ago, she captured a family photo meant to pay tribute and in memoriam of my father. She was so beautiful, compassionate, and seemed to truly understand the aches in our hearts. Sarah and I became friends that day and it continued to the present. I admired her talent and the way she could offer such comfort in a single smile or embrace. The beautiful sound of her laughter will forever be a pleasant echo in the depths of the hearts of those who loved her. I am so sorry for your loss. The Brown family will stay in my thoughts and prayers.

I am so sad for your loss. Sarah was one of the sweetest students I taught at Murfee. Many fond memories of her and that beautiful Smile!

Sarah was a bright light in our lives during a very dark time. Because of her, we were able to hear our sweet girl's voice for the first time. That little girl who couldn't verbalize, is now a beautiful 14 year old who chats up a storm. We will forever be grateful for Sarah and her role in Norah's life. She gave us our girl...she gave us the world. Rest in peace, sweet Sarah. We will always remember you.
