After a long courageous battle with Lupus and many other health issues Sandy went to be with her heavenly Father on August 3, 2024, surrounded by her loving family.
Sandy was born in Ralls, TX on June 1, 1948, to James Wilton and Minnie Alleen (Griffin) Seigler. She grew up in Crosbyton, Texas with her four siblings. Her family moved to Lubbock her 8th grade year and she attended OL Slaton Jr. High School where she was a cheerleader. She spent her Junior year at Slaton, Texas High School and moved back to Lubbock and graduated from Monterey High School in 1967. Sandy met the love of her life Tony, and they were married on August 18, 1978. They shared a life with their three children, and she was known for her no-nonsense matter of fact parenting style. She dearly loved her children and grandchildren and her husband. She had a way of making each member of her family feel special.
She spent 35 years in the dental field as a dental assistant. She loved being in the dental field. After retirement she worked at Hollyhocks, which she enjoyed very much and made lifelong friends in both ventures.
Sandy absolutely loved life. She looked forward to her Mother/Daughter day with Casandra. She was very proud of her son Shayne and his artistic talent; she accepted and loved her son Jason as her own from day one.
One of her greatest joys in life was decorating for Christmas. There was not a space in their home that did not have a Christmas decoration and as her grandson Hunter said, “Meme knew how to do Christmas”. Sandy loved the mountains and shared many fond memories with her family.
Sandy is survived by her devoted husband, Tony LoCascio, children Casandra (Dan) Bryant, Shayne (Meg) Pierce, and Jason (Sonya) LoCascio; grandchildren, Ian Carnes, Joshua Carnes, Hunter LoCascio, Abby LoCascio, and Gage Pierce; and sister Linda (Charles) Odell; along with numerous nieces and nephews
She was preceded in death by her parents, Wilton and Alleen Seigler; sisters, Patsy McGinnis and Peggye Andress; and a brother, James Seigler.
Sandy’s life was a celebration of love, laughter, and kindness. She had a way of making everyone she met feel like she had known them forever.
If she loved you…..she gave her all.
