Sam E. Ogle passed away Tuesday, March 20, 2018. We will gather for fellowship and remembrance from 6 to 8 PM Thursday, March 22, 2018 at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers. Family and friends will gather to celebrate his life of 75 years on Friday, March 23, 2018, at 1 PM at Trinity Church Chapel.

Sam was born on December 19, 1942 to Sam and Vera (Cox) Ogle in Knoxville, TN. His family moved to Lubbock in 1944. He graduated from Monterey High School in 1961. He was a journeyman electrician member with IBEW Local 850. Sam became a Master electrician in 1978 and was a member of NECA. He was the owner of Bingham Electric until he retired. He and Donna married in 1974 and raised 7 children together. He loved the Lord and his family meant everything to him.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Ruth Millman; and two brothers, Richard and William Ogle.

Sam is survived by his loving wife, Donna; children, Travis Ogle and wife, Cathy of Albuquerque, NM; LeighAnn Ogle Lindsey and Luis Medina of Austin; Teresa Ogle Odorizzi and husband, Scott of Lubbock; LaDonna Marks Gentz and husband, Randy of Las Vegas, NV; Don Marks and wife, Kristi of Amarillo; Heather Marks Womack and husband, Scott; and Tiffany Fry and husband, Allen all of Lubbock; eighteen grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sister, Janie Ogle Estes and husband, Tom of Castle Rock, CO; along with numerous close cousins.

We would like to thank all the staff of Hospice of the South Plains especially Eloise, Mackie and Tammy for their love and care of Sam.

Sam was a good friend for 50 years. I didn't get to see him as much I would have liked to in later years. Good Man ,,God bless the family.

I hope God will always be with you during this time. When my wife passed away Sam was like a magnet to my side for weeks. Talking to me and helping me through the problems that arise when you lose someone special. He ministered to me and we read the scriptures together. If it had not been for God and friends like Sam. Sam was a really good man. He never met a stranger. I never met anyone whom could go to the Lord in prayer like Sam. A true disciple.

Sweet sweet Sam, we had many many long conversations at Tom & Bingo’s! He never met a stranger.My heart aches for your loss. I know he is happy in his new healthy heavenly body. So sorry to hear of Sam's passing. Sam was my cousin and we had some great times when he visited in Knoxville. Our thoughts and prayers are with each of you. May God comfort you.

Donna. it will be a great reunion some day when I get to meet Sam in Heaven. I have so many fond memmories of Sam , his family and you . From riding the city bus to downtown Lubbock on Saturday's just to ride the escalators and enjoy the refridgerated airconditioning in Hemphill-Wells, having free-for-alls during recess at Lou Stubbs, and getting his and your hugs at Highland Baptist. I would love to see you and be at his service but will not be able to attend. For God so loved and so do I.I know Sam is proud of the Tech basketball team this year.

Sam and I and a group of guys in west LUBBOCK grew up together. All were good friends .Sam will be missed.Sam "s family will be in our prayers
