Sam E. Ogle passed away Tuesday, March 20, 2018. We will gather for fellowship and remembrance from 6 to 8 PM Thursday, March 22, 2018 at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers. Family and friends will gather to celebrate his life of 75 years on Friday, March 23, 2018, at 1 PM at Trinity Church Chapel.
Sam was born on December 19, 1942 to Sam and Vera (Cox) Ogle in Knoxville, TN. His family moved to Lubbock in 1944. He graduated from Monterey High School in 1961. He was a journeyman electrician member with IBEW Local 850. Sam became a Master electrician in 1978 and was a member of NECA. He was the owner of Bingham Electric until he retired. He and Donna married in 1974 and raised 7 children together. He loved the Lord and his family meant everything to him.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Ruth Millman; and two brothers, Richard and William Ogle.
Sam is survived by his loving wife, Donna; children, Travis Ogle and wife, Cathy of Albuquerque, NM; LeighAnn Ogle Lindsey and Luis Medina of Austin; Teresa Ogle Odorizzi and husband, Scott of Lubbock; LaDonna Marks Gentz and husband, Randy of Las Vegas, NV; Don Marks and wife, Kristi of Amarillo; Heather Marks Womack and husband, Scott; and Tiffany Fry and husband, Allen all of Lubbock; eighteen grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sister, Janie Ogle Estes and husband, Tom of Castle Rock, CO; along with numerous close cousins.
We would like to thank all the staff of Hospice of the South Plains especially Eloise, Mackie and Tammy for their love and care of Sam.
