On February 19, 1940, Sally was born to Ray and Mary Horton in Birmingham, Alabama. She met her future husband Pat Bradley in the second grade in Pecos, Texas, and they were married for 62 years, up until her death. She was a school teacher and entrepreneur, opening Tis Christmas in 1985. She was very proud of the accomplishment, through Tis Christmas events, of raising enough money to build two and a half homes through Habitat for Humanity. She served the Methodist church in many roles, including leadership in the Walk to Emmaus community and as a member of the Texas Tech Wesley Foundation board of directors. She and her husband Pat were always caught up in family activities, with a highlight being the Cousins Camp they hosted each summer for their six youngest grandchildren.

Sally is survived by her husband, Pat Bradley; brother Bill Horton, and wife Diane, two sons, Craig, and wife Zoe, Bradley, and Dale, and wife Mandi, Bradley; eight grandchildren, John, and wife Camille, Bradley; Maryanne, and wife Emily, Pease; Audrey, and husband Trevor, Smith, Paul Bradley, Carleigh Bradley, Carter Bradley, Maggie Bradley, and Bishop, and wife Cayley Bradley, and two great-grandchildren, Nicholas and Thomas Bradley.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Ray and Mary Horton.

We are deeply sorry for the loss of Sally. She was a wonderful woman with many gifts, talents, skills and well known for her love for the Lord. We appreciate her service for the Kingdom in many ways in which she served and how she served on our board of directors at Wesley Foundation. A dynamic woman who will be missed by us and many others. I loved Sally so much! She had such an impact on my life when I started coming to St Luke’s. She became a true friend and encouraged me constantly. She told me she had seen such a difference in me and she just loved it- well she had a big part in that! I miss her but will see her later!

I remember Mrs. Bradley as being my 5th grade math teacher. She was a sweetheart. I enjoyed being her in class. I am guessing that Tim had her as a teacher as well. If he were still here, he would want reach out to the family to offer his heartfelt condolences. I pray for God's peace over all of you and for His comfort in the days ahead. I was saddened to learn of Sally’s passing. She was one of the kindest, the most giving people I ever have know. I met her originally at Tis Christmas where I always looked forward to seeing all of her beautiful things. Later on, Sally and I played bridge together in a club of dear friends. We played and lunched once a month for years and years. I never heard an unkind word said in that group of friends. I know everyone that knew Sally will miss her . Condolences to Pat and her family who she loved dearly.

This world truly lost an angel. Sally and Pat were so good to us when we needed someone. They are the best of the best. So sorry Pat and family. Sally will never be forgotten, she is a gem.

It’s hard to understand why people are taken from us, but find comfort in knowing Sally is with her Lord and Savior; and that you were a special part of a well-lived life. So very sorry for your loss . Pam and Fary Jephcott.
