Jeremy “Ryder” McDonald went to be with our Lord in Heaven on September 27th, 2022. Ryder was born on February 01, 2007, in Lubbock, Texas. Ryder was a beautiful soul; he was strong and a fighter from the day he was born. Ryder always found comfort in the arms of his mother, Lacy McDonald-Ferrell. Ryder was a simple man, a good ol’ West Texas Cowboy. A soft-spoken, blonde-haired, blue-eyed boy stole the hearts of everyone who had the honor of knowing him.
Ryder loved to drink coffee, especially with his mother, ride horses, go fishing with his cousin Foster and friends, hunting, riding dirt bikes with his friends, and livin’ it up at concerts with his partner in crime and sister Lyndee. He loved spending time with his uncles; he looked up to them. He loved the quiet times at home with his mom and sisters and was the first one packing for a spontaneous adventure with his girls. He watched over his mom and sister and had the most sensitive heart because of their love for him.
Although we mourn the loss of our Son, Brother, Grandson, Cousin, and friend, we find comfort in knowing that our Ryder is riding in fields of gold with our Lord and Savior. Ryder lived every day, bringing his contagious Joy and Love to everyone he was in contact with. We will miss our boy more than words can articulate, but we will live every day to serve God’s will better so that one day, we can take comfort in knowing we will make up for lost time with you and spend eternity with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
The family would like to express the utmost gratitude for the unexplainable love that our community has shown through this tragic time. The loss of our boy is great, and our family has seen it in their heartbroken faces, generous donations, and the outpouring of love and support from our community.
