The family of Rupchandra Singhi of Hobbs, NM, will celebrate his life of 77 years at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, September 23, 2020, at Lake Ridge Chapel. He passed away in the afternoon of September 15, 2020, after suffering a cardiac arrest. In support of the health of his family, face coverings are mandatory while attending the service. Rupchandra grew up in the loving home of his parents and three brothers. They moved to Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India, during his childhood. He studied Engineering in college and worked many jobs throughout his life to support his family. A lifelong educator, he prided himself on tutoring the next generation. A devout family man, he married Purnima Shah on January 21, 1991. He was a caring soul to her children Amee, Rupal, Kinjal, and Vishal. The couple was blessed with the birth of their beloved son, Meet, on November 30, 1991. The family moved to the United States of America in December of 2000, ultimately settling in Waukegan, IL, from 2001 to 2006 and then Hobbs, NM, from 2006 to the time of his passing.He was a simple man. A man who was quiet and pensive but quick with his wit. He was never a conversationalist, but he could always find a way to inject his humor into the situation. He was pragmatic, never sweating the small stuff, and always rolled with life’s punches. He never asked for much but was always willing to give whatever he had.Survivors include his wife, Purnima Singhi; son, Meet Singhi of Tampa, FL; and younger brothers, Dhansukh Jain and his wife Anila Jain and Mansukh Jain and his wife Mona Jain of Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India. He will be in the loving memory of his nieces and nephews.Rupchandra joins in Heaven, his elder brother Khemraj Singhi.
