Obituary
The family of Ruby Rhoads will celebrate her life of 83 years at 10:00 AM on Friday, June 11, 2021, at Trinity Church. Her family will host a time of fellowship and remembrance from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Thursday, June 10, 2021, at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers. She passed on Wednesday, June 2, 2021. On January 25, 1938, Ruby Faye was born to Jesse and Vada (Milsaps) Pack in Roswell, New Mexico. Ruby graduated high school in Roswell and went on to study at Southwestern Assemblies of God Bible School.
Ruby was known for her great cooking, quick wit, and love for others, especially her kids and grandkids. She was a faithful companion to her husband of 62 years as they partnered together in loving people as pastors in churches in California, Oklahoma, and Texas.
Survivors include her two sons, Vernon (Carol) Rhoads and Kevin (Tina) Rhoads; six grandchildren, Haun Rhoads, Ciera (Josh) Lopez, Mikala (Jake) Backus, Aaron Rhoads, Hannah (Jacob) Mulkey, and Elizabeth Rhoads; one great-grandchild, Teylei Lopez; and two brothers, Jesse (Glenda) Pack, and Doug (Rose) Pack.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jesse and Vada Pack; husband, Verne Rhoads; and ten siblings.
