Honoring the Life of Roy Lively, Jr:
Roy Lively, Jr., age 70, of Belton, Texas passed at away on October 31, 2017. He was born September 14, 1947, in Borger, Texas to Roy Lively Sr, and Helen Beatrice Adkins. He graduated from Borger High School in 1966 and from Texas Tech University in 1971 and was an avid supporter of Texas Tech Football. He served in the US Army Reserves.  Roy was an Eagle Scout and was an active leader in Boy Scout Troop 157 in Lubbock for many, many years. He worked for Texas Farm Bureau Insurance Companies as a Regional Claims Supervisor for 38 years before retiring in 2010.
He married Paula Kay Greer on February 14, 2002 in Fort Davis, Texas. They had a happy and loving marriage for 15 years.
He is survived by his wife, Kay, of Belton, a son, Clint & wife Virginia of League City, a daughter Jeana Edwards, and husband David of Amarillo, 2 step-sons Cody and Chad Tubbs of Austin, his mother, Bea Lively of Borger, 2 sisters, Regina Austin and husband Gary of Fritch and DeeDee Reese of Borger, 5 grandchildren, Connor and Patrick Lively of League City, Jentry and Tatum Edwards of Amarillo, and Andrew Tubbs of Austin. He was predeceased by his father, Roy Lively Sr, and a brother, Mike Lively.

  1. Roy was a great friend and classmate. I last saw him at a class reunion sometime in the late seventies or early eighties. He will be missed.
