Roy was born November 7, 1952, in Slaton, Texas, to Frank and Mary Sehon. He was the fourth of five children, born into a rural farming home and began working the land at an early age. Roy graduated from Frenship in 1972, and remained a lifelong cotton farmer in the Wolfforth area, retiring only a year ago. He was an avid collector of John Deere memorabilia, especially tractors. He enjoyed spending time with his friends and family, visiting the cabin in Ruidoso, cooking on his smokers, and enjoying the outdoors with his dogs. He was affectionately known as “Pa” by his grandkids who adored him.Survivors include the love of his life, Tracy Franklin; his children, Lindsey Farmer and wife, Amanda; Chad Farmer and wife, Beth; Cory James and husband, Randy; Tracy’s children, Justin Franklin and wife, Rebecca; Dane Franklin and wife, Amanda; and Tanner Franklin and wife, Theresa; grandchildren, Tycer and Tatum Farmer; Shaw Farmer, Lucas and Logan James; Bode, Kade, and Gia, Franklin; Evan Franklin, and Emma Franklin; Andrew and Callie Moore; Noah and Owen Ellis; siblings, Frank Sehon and wife, Margaret; Ruth Thomas and husband, Artie; and Barbara Ritchey. He is also survived by numerous, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank Joseph and Mary Theresia Sehon; sister, Mary Francis Brittian; and brother-in-law, James Ritchey.
