On Friday, June 2nd, 2023, Ronnie Lee Jumper Jr., loving father, and brother passed away at the age of 56. Lee was born on August 31st, 1966, in Ranger, TX to Ronnie Lee Jumper Sr. and Linda Chrystine Black. As a West Texas native, Lee attended Madison Middle School and then went on to attend Abilene Cooper High School, where he participated in a variety of sports but truly excelled in baseball and gymnastics. As an avid motorcyclist, Lee always had a special passion for motorsports, spending some of his most memorable moments at – local Motocross tracks and rebuilding his favorite Honda classics.
In his childhood years, Lee spent many summers in Conroe, TX with his uncle Kenny and Aunt Nell. It was here that Lee found his passion for woodworking and was able to develop a variety of carpentry skills while helping his uncle Kenny at the Robertson Cabinetry shop.
In early adulthood, Lee put these skills to use by working for various builders in the Abilene area, specializing in stain-grade trim and final finish carpentry work. It was here where Lee was approached by Buddy Parish, who as both partner and General Manager of the Clayton Homes in Abilene, was able to change Lee’s trajectory by beginning, what would become, his very successful career in the Manufactured home industry.
In the years to follow Lee found great success in sales as a home consultant and under the mentorship of Buddy Parish, Kim Burnett, and Lance Inderman, Lee was able to develop a unique understanding of the industry which he later used to produce over a decade of notably successful years as General Manager of Clayton Homes in Lubbock. It was during this time that Lee was able to forge his name in the industry as one of the best and build a legacy on the Jumper name that will surely precede him for years to come.
In his later years, Lee found a new passion in mentoring the less fortunate and providing guidance to anyone in need. He truly enjoyed donating his time to the Church and was able to make a significant impact on all who knew him. As a beloved member of his family and community, Lee will unquestionably be missed by all.
Lee is survived by his sons Austin Lee, Landon Glenn, and Aiden Kenneth Jumper, and his grandchildren Peyten Caroline, and Austin Lee Jumper Jr. He leaves behind his sisters Melinda Traynor, Laura Jumper, and Lisa Altum as well as extended family and many friends who loved him dearly and will miss him for his singular humor and loving heart.
