The family of Roger Ybarra Aguilar will host a gathering of family and friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Thursday, July 27, 2023, at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers. A service to celebrate his life of 72 years is scheduled at 2:00 PM on Friday, July 28, 2023, at The Worship Center West Campus, 82nd Street and Upland, followed by a time of fellowship with family and friends. Roger Ybarra Aguilar was born May 17, 1951, to Refugio and Leonarda (Ybarra) Aguilar in Lubbock, TX. Roger was loved by many and never knew a stranger. He was passionate about music, darts, and yardwork. His daughters were his life and he loved being a grandpa. Roger lived an unfiltered life and always to the fullest. He taught his girls to have a sweet tooth, live in the moment, and never take life for granted.
Mr. Aguilar is survived by his daughters, Yvonne Aguilar, Miranda (Bernabe) Ruvalcaba, and Misty Aguilar; grandchildren, Juan (Kristina) Castellon, Leonardo Castellon, Isaac Ruvalcaba, and Isabelle Ruvalcaba; great-grandchildren, Audellia Castellon, and Khalesi Castellon; and a sister, Alice Vasquez.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Refugio and Leonarda Aguilar; brother, Ramiro Aguilar; and sister, Janie Escobar.
