On July 13, 1943, Robert was born to Asencion and Concepcion Sanchez in San Antonio, TX. Robert was a farmer and a rancher.  He later went on to retire from the prison system. He loved watching western movies, wrestling, and football.  Robert loved oldies, old rock and roll, Spanish, and country music.  He enjoyed the company of friends and family.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Sanchez; children, Christina (Carlos Ruiz) Sanchez, Alex Sanchez, Elvira Marie (Frankie) Saldivar, Audra Sanchez, Robert Ray (Trenton) Sanchez, Lisa (Scott) Grubbs, Bobby Sanchez; grandchildren, Adrianna Ruiz, Alexandria Ruiz, Andrew Sanchez, Abraham Sanchez, Brazos King, Dylan Greer, Dakota Greer, Heather Knowlton, Dustin Grubbs, Cody Sanchez, Natasha Pierce; sister, Aurora Vargas.

He was preceded in death by father, Asencion Sanchez; mother, Concepcion Sanchez; siblings, Adela Martinez, Maria DeLeon, Elvira Sanchez, Ben Sanchez, Rosa McFarlin, Mike Sanchez, Asencion Sanchez Jr., Manuel Sanchez.

The family would like to thank Beyond Faith Hospice for their care and compassion for Robert and the entire family during his last days.
