Robbin Lou Brown Pate was born on November 21, 1932, to Robert Brown and Jessamine Owen Brown Tapscott in Palmyra, Arkansas. She was a loving and devoted sister, mother, aunt, and grandmother. Robbin was blessed with ten grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Robbin spent most of her life living in Hobbs, New Mexico. While focused on caring for her family, Robbin’s professional life of 40 years was spent as a dedicated employee of GTE (General Telephone and Electric Corporation). After retirement, she was an avid reader of thrillers and detective stories and enjoyed working her crossword puzzles. Her favorite author was James Patterson. She is survived by her siblings, Tomi Ruth Tapscott Coffer, Joe Tapscott and Grady (Max) Tapscott; her children, Sheryl Pierce Wyatt and husband, Robert, Shirley Conder and husband, Hack; grandchildren, Zack Conder, Ashley Cooper and husband, Brian, David Pierce, Sheila Lemond and husband, David, John Paul Pierce, Robert Pierce, Melanie Irvin and husband, Donie, Shane Morgan and wife, Maria, Josh Pate and wife, Courtney, and Veronica Litchie and husband, Brandon; her much loved great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchild, and numerous nephews and nieces. She is preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Susan Morgan, and son, John Pate.Memorial contributions are welcome and the family suggests: the Alzheimer's Association or the American Cancer Society.
