Richard Allery

A service to celebrate the life of Richard George Allery, 89 years of life is scheduled at 2:00 PM on Thursday, August 3, 2023, immediately followed by a reception, at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers. Graveside service will follow at 1:00 PM on Friday, August 4, 2023, at Springhill Cemetery. He died on Thursday, July 27, 2023. Richard George Allery was born May 20, 1934, to Francis and Ernestine LaFournaise Allery in Belcourt, North Dakota. He married Norma Jean LaBerge on July 24, 1955, in Cooperton, OK.  After Richard completed school in Norman, OK for auto body repair, they moved to the Lubbock area in 1966.  He was a member of the First Methodist Church in Wolfforth, TX.  Richard excelled in auto body repair for many, many years until his retirement in 2005.  When he wasn’t working, he was always involved in many hobbies during his life that included car racing, motorcycles and four wheeling, RVing, and woodworking.  He could fix or repair just about anything and built a large shop on their property.

Richard is survived by his children, Jo Ann (William) Beard, Karen (Larry) Burnett; grandchildren, Amanda (Robert) Greer, Jason Beard, Claire Burnett; siblings, Louis Amyotte, Cecelia N. Jim, Frank Amyotte, Dwight Poitra, Francis Poitra.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Norma Allery; parents, Ernestine and Joseph Amyotte; siblings, Alfred Sonny Allery, Jerome Amyotte, Larry Amyotte, Katherine Amyotte, Clarence Amyotte, Janet Baker, Mary Ann Preston, Alfred Amyotte, Norma Morris, Theresa Mary Allery.
