Daymon LaPoint left a message on October 21, 2019: I'm sorry that I am just now finding out of Rex passing. Shed a few tears this morning remembering Rex and what he meant to me. I worked with Rex in Alaska for a while down in Nikiski. One hard, fun, caring compassionate man. I'll never forget Rex and will always hold him in respect for the time he took to teach me, make fun of me and make me laugh. Much Love for Rex and his Family. He loved y'all dearly and spoke of you all often.

We worked together at VECO and he always had a joke or a story to tell that made me laugh. He always brought a smile to my face when he came in the office. He will surely be missed.

We also have another beautiful promise for our future when Jehovah God does away with pain mourning and death forever at Revelation 21:4 . I hope these verses can bring some comfort during this time.
