Renee C. Lopez, a loving mother, grandmother, daughter, and sister, passed away peacefully on April 21, 2023, in Lubbock, Texas. Born on April 13, 1967, in Brownfield, Texas, Renee was a beacon of light to all who knew her, leaving an indelible mark on the lives she touched with her creative spirit, passionate heart, and unwavering love for her family.

Renee was the beloved daughter of Frank and Linda Lopez, who nurtured and supported her throughout her life. Growing up in Brownfield, she shared a special bond with her sister Regina Lopez, and the two remained close as they journeyed through life’s highs and lows together. Renee graduated from Estacado High School in 1985, carrying with her the cherished memories and lifelong friendships formed during those formative years.

Renee’s greatest joy in life was her family, and she was especially proud of her daughter, Chelsea Ann Garcia, and her son-in-law, Rocky Garcia. The bond she shared with Chelsea was unbreakable, and they were not only mother and daughter but also best friends. Renee’s love for her family extended to her four granddaughters, Alli, Aleigha, Aria, and Zoey Garcia, who affectionately called her their “Nana.” She adored her “girls,” and they were the center of her world.

Throughout her life, Renee was a source of inspiration and support for her nieces and nephews, Sadee Kelly, Steven Lopez, and Sessalee Saucedo. They fondly remember their aunt’s warm embraces, infectious laughter, and the special way she had of making each of them feel uniquely loved and cherished. Renee’s legacy of love and compassion will continue to live on through the lives of her family members, who will forever hold her close in their hearts.

Renee was a woman of many talents, and her creative spirit shone brightly through her love of cooking. She spent countless hours in the kitchen, experimenting with new recipes and perfecting her culinary skills. Her passion for food brought her family together around the dinner table, where they shared laughter, stories, and the warmth of her home-cooked meals. Renee was the very definition of a good friend. She had an empathetic and caring personality and always seemed to know just the right things to say when I was feeling down. Although our friendship was relatively new, she has left an indelible mark on my memory and her presence will be greatly missed. She was a good person with a kind heart. My thoughts and condolences go out to her family, and I am so truly sorry for this great loss.

I met Renee back in 94 while attending spc . We formed a friendship and I will treasure it forever . I’m heartbroken to hear of Renee’s passing . May our Heavenly Father watch over your family Renee will be be your angel forever . My prayers , hugs and condolences 🙏🏼🙏🏼💜💜

Ms. Renee is the funnest person to be around! I worked with her at Overton and she always knew how to make me smile every morning. Ms. Renee makes me feel so loved with the sweet messages and calls! She is a woman of so many personalities, relating to each and every person and I love it- she had such an impact on me and so many others. May she rest in peace- I know she is making everyone laugh in heaven!! I am so sorry for your loss, she is an amazing woman that blessed this earth!

I am so very sorry for your loss .My deepest condolences to all the Family. She was my best friend in high school, and always stayed in touch with me and my family even though I moved far away. She was always there for me and she was always a true friend She will never be forgotten and i will always carry her in my heart I will truly miss her.

Renee was a beautiful woman and a loving soul. God our Father, Your power brings us to birth, Your providence guides our lives, and by Your command we return to dust. Lord, those who die still live in Your presence, their lives change but do not end. I pray in hope for my family, relatives and friends, and for all the dead known to You alone. In company with Christ, Who died and now lives, may they rejoice in Your kingdom, where all our tears are wiped away. Unite us together again in one family, to sing Your praise forever and ever. Amen.

My condolences to Renee’s family, it’s been a long while since I’ve spoken nor seen Renee, but she did leave a special place in our hearts my mother and I. Renee reached out by messenger to my mother a few weeks ago. My mother told me and I send her back a message. We never knew she was hurting, we would had made it a point to go see her in Lubbock. May God rest your soul and you will see my brother Alex the person whom introduced us to your beautiful soul. 🙏♥️

Growing up w Rene and Regina was amazing they both are beautiful and free spirited women,. Rene and I became very close throughout our lives , she was there for me through my father and mothers passing, We would go window shopping to have cocktail watch movies, I especially love being invited for one of her amazing meals! And she always called me Felicia Joyce just like my mother, she is the only person who would do that even in public or on social media. She would always make me feel better when I was down, The heavens gained an amazing ANGEL! Sister I’m going to miss you like crazy but I know your dancing in the skies! Rest in Peace Lovely!

My heart breaks for all of you. She and I met at Kaplan College in 2007. The other beautiful woman in our circle was Chantille Venegas. We all hung out in the afternoon when classes let out. I don't think I have ever laughed so hard with another person in my life. She definitely was a light, a bright light to everyone she knew. I will miss Renee (Nae Nae) fiercely until I see her again. My condolences go to her parents especially, and her sister. I love them too
