Obituary

The family of Benita “Rebecca” Lewis will celebrate her life of 80 years at 1:00 PM on Friday, March 25, 2022, at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers. Her family will host a time of fellowship and remembrance from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Thursday, March 24, 2022, at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers. She passed on Tuesday, March 15, 2022. On June 25, 1941, Benita Rebecca was born to John and Refugia Flores in Los Lunas, NM. She married devoted husband and father, George “Arthur” Lewis on May 25, 1961.  They were married 60 years.  Rebecca was a devoted mother, wife, grandmother, and anointed woman of God.  She had a heart of gold for God, family, and people.  Rebecca was an active member of her church and community.  She enjoyed working in her yard, shopping, helping others, and sewing, often making her own clothing.

Survivors include her children, Ralph and Julie Segura, Ruth and Ray Chavez, Diana Doyal, Arthur Lewis Jr., Samuel and Lisa Lewis, Rebecca and Norri Lau, Rev. Steven Lewis, and Chris Lewis; 22 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild; brother, Larry Flores.

She was preceded in death by father, John Flores; mother, Refugia Flores; husband, Arthur Lewis; brother, Johnny Flores; sister, Victoria Flores; sister, Angie Leos; son, Osten Daniel Segura.
