It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Raymond “Dale” Pectol Jr., a beloved husband, father, educator, and friend, who peacefully departed this life on December 17, 2024, at the age of 70. Born on October 18, 1954, in Phoenix, Arizona, Dale leaves behind a remarkable legacy that touched countless lives.
Dale graduated from Lubbock Christian High School. He dedicated his life to education, earning his Master’s degree from Texas Tech University and a Bachelor’s degree from Lubbock Christian University and inspiring countless students as a passionate teacher. He was particularly proud of his role as a Coach for girls’ basketball, instilling in his players not only the love of the game but also the values of teamwork, perseverance, and respect. He was an active member of Monterey Church of Christ for many years, where he fostered enduring relationships and supported his community.
Dale could walk into a room full of strangers and come out making everyone laugh and feel important. He was everyone’s biggest fan as a Coach, Father, Grandpa, and Friend. As a boy he loved sports and enjoyed his time on the court with his teammates, or the baseball field with his Dad. He was deeply connected to his Children’s and Grandchildren’s interests in sports, fishing, video games, and would take everyone to the movies on a regular basis. His goofy, infectious, and fun presence will be missed by all of those he impacted daily.
Dale leaves behind his devoted wife, Nannette; his sister Sue (Russel) Beene; his children, Eric (Dawn) McCasland, Danny (April) Pectol, Dené (Jayson) Adams, Chase (Donna) Pectol, and Chelsea (C.J.) Condren; grandchildren, Jack and Abby McCasland, Aedan Pectol, Shelby Petersen, Raylynn and Jayce Adams, Orson Pectol, and Trace and Jordie Condren; and great-grandchild, Arien McCasland.
Dale was preceded in death by his parents Raymond “Ray” Dale Pectol, Sr. and Billie Jo Shuttlesworth.
Family and friends will gather on Thursday, December 19, 2024, from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers. Services to celebrate Dale’s life will be on Friday, December 20, 2024, at 1:30 pm followed by burial at Resthaven Memorial Park.
