Ralph L. Vaughn

Ralph L. Vaughn passed away Friday, March 20, 2020. We will celebrate his life of 62 years in a private family service at 11:00 am on Tuesday, March 24, 2020, at Lake Ridge Chapel.In support of our city officials and the well-being of our community, we are asking for friends and acquaintances to participate in services via our webcasting services.Friends are invited to share memories and expressions of sympathy for the family to cherish in the area below the obituary.Ralph L. was born on February 20, 1958, to John and Mary Vaughn in Lubbock, Texas. Ralph married Anne Michael Williamson Vaughn on September 24, 1994, in Green Lawn Church of Christ in Lubbock, Texas. Ralph attended New Deal ISD followed by Texas Tech University where he studied Horticulture, Biology and English.Ralph loved his wife and children with all his heart. Ralph’s true love was anything that grew outside – especially trees. He would say, “Look at that tree – it is pruned all wrong and that makes my heart hurt.” He was a devoted landscaper owner of Vaughn’s Tree and Lawn Care. He didn’t just take care of your landscapes, he enjoyed educating his clients on their landscape needs. Ralph’s legacy will be carried on by his sons who have continued to run the family business.Survivors include his wife, Anne Michael Vaughn; children, Cory, Jacob, and Lacy Wilson; grandchild, Emmah Wilson.He was preceded in death by his father, John Louis and Mary Helen Vaughn.
