The family of Charles Ralph Cook will celebrate his life of 78 years at 2:00 PM on Friday, November 20, 2020, at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers. He passed on Saturday, November 14, 2020. In support of the health of his family, face coverings are mandatory while attending the service. The service will be live-streamed on this page, where you are encouraged to sign the virtual guestbook and share memories and expressions of sympathy by selecting the icon.Ralph was born on October 10, 1942, in Greenville, Texas, to Virgil Alvin Cook and Naydene Cook Ward. He loved his family and enjoyed spending lots of time with them. He was a hard-working, independent Trim Carpenter for 48 years in the Lubbock area and a home builder in Ruidoso, New Mexico, for two years.Ralph’s passions were fast cars and trucks, and he never passed up a chance to race. He often drove through the construction areas to “burn rubber,” looking for a race. In Ralph’s lifetime, he drove and owned around 300 cars and trucks. Another passion Ralph enjoyed was skeet shooting. He always kept his guns and rifles ready for action. Ralph never met a stranger and was friendly, kind, and encouraging to everyone. He will be greatly missed.Ralph leaves behind his wife, Linda Cook, of 55 years of marriage; son, Charles Reagan Cook, and wife, Belynda, son, Ro Keith Cook and wife, Sarah; grandchildren, Charles Ryan Cook, Meagan Kay Cook, Cameron Race Cook, Cru Ryder Cook, and Connor Keith Cook; and great-grandson, Jared James Cook.He was preceded in death by a son, Rodney Quinn Cook, his parents, and two brothers Gerald Cook and Dennis Wayne Cook.
