Here is poem someone sent me when I lost a loved one. Epitaph “When I die Give what’s left of me away To children And old men that wait to die. And if you need to cry, Cry for your brother Walking the street beside you And when you need me, Put your arms Around anyone And give to them What you need to give to me. I want to leave you something, Something better Than words Or sounds. Look for me In the people I’ve known Or loved, And if you cannot give me away, At least let me live in your eyes And not on your mind. You can love me most By letting Hands touch hands By letting Bodies touch bodies And by letting go Of children That need to be free. Love doesn’t die, People do. So, when all that’s left of me Is love, Give me away” ― Merrit Malloy

Paul and I served on the board of THIE together these last few years. While I only had the privilege of knowing him for a few short years, he made a significant positive impact on me during that time. He will be greatly missed.

I have so many memories of Paul especially the number of rounds. We played golf together. He is one of a very few of my friends who have come to Comanche and played a round of golf with me here. My prayers and thoughts are with Deanna hugs. Unfortunately I will not be able to attend the service in person, but I will be with the family in spirit. 🙏🙏🙏

I had the pleasure of working with Mr. Paul for many years! His compassion, care and love shown to me and my family during my own cancer journey was phenomenal, far exceeding his generous spirit and his concern for his employees. He always greeted me and I always called him Sir out of respect for who he was and the role he played at MCHD. My heart and prayers goes out to Ms. Deanna and the family. I will always cherish Sir Paul and Ms. Deanna for their thoughtful love, guidance, encouragement and friendship!

Paul and I were friends and college roommates at South Plains Jr College in 1968-69. While I was home on leave from the Army, I arranged a blind date for Paul to go with me and my then fiancé to a club. Things did not go too well that night, but Paul was smart enough to call his date back and ask for a do over. That date was Deanna and the rest of the story, as they say, is history. We remained friends ever since, their visiting me in the Smokey Mountains in Tennessee in 2019 and we talked on the phone just last Tuesday. Rest in Peace my friend. You will be missed by all that had the good fortune to have known you.

I know for a fact Paul is looking down on us and smiling at the foundations he has helped set. Paul was and will always be in our hearts as a great man. Biscuits with gravy and jalapeno bacon. He would cut his own biscuits every morning. He sure did enjoy the omelet's Angie made him. Mr. Paul love you brother and thank you for being a part of my life and growth. " Hard to find good help"
