Charlotte and Family your loss has left Don and I deeply saddened. May Paul Rest In Peace. Our heartfelt condolences to you and Dusty, Stormy, and family, we are so sorry for the loss of your a great Husband, Father and our Brother of Love. May God Surround you with his loving comfort. Charlotte when God made you a husband as far as I can see, he made a special soulmate especially for you. He made a perfect kind, compassionate, gentleman. Next time you meet it will be at heavens door. Quick Memory story. When i lived with Paul and Charlotte in Lawton Oklahoma I was 19 and Paul picked on me 24-7. One day we were all at the kitchen table having some strawberry ice cream. Well Paul was creaming his ice cream in his bowl and smoothing it by licking the spoon and running it on top of the ice cream again and again. He was trying to make it, “he said smooth as a dollar bill”. Well when he got it perfect he tilted it up to show Charlotte and me and just when he was about to say look it is as smooth …. I took my spoon and I dug right in the middle of his smooth as dollar bill ice cream and put it in my mouth. Oh if you could have seen his eyes he was fit to be tied. He chased me all around the table and caught me and rubbed mustard all over my face. It was our standing joke with each other every time we saw each other. I laughed and he justified by adding yeah but! I mustarded you up girl, but we would start to laugh some more. Love our sweet Paul he will be missed until we meet again to laugh about our smooth as dollar bill ice cream in Heaven.

Charlie and kids, Kema and I value the friendship we've had with you guys for upwards of 30 years. We will miss Paul but we know he is no longer suffering. May you be comforted by close family and friends as you all grieve his loss. He would want you to forge ahead and keep smiling, laughing and loving like he did. Our Love, Mike & Kema Speed

Charlotte I am so sorry for the loss of your soul mate. I was able to see first hand what true love and devotion was these last few weeks and months as you were there for Paul attending to every need he had, whether large or small. I am so honored to have know Paul for the last 32 years or so. I will always cherish the memories that we made on our trailer trips together, whether in Mountains of Colorado, the pine trees of Arkansas, the balloons of Albuquerque, the sands of Port Aransas or just a Ranger game. Paul was always there to help me as a new Fifth- wheeler and get me on the right track! My first memories of Paul were when we were cooking and cutting up ribs under the close supervision of Pop. My last memories will be of a man that came to be my Brother, I will truly miss him..God Bless you and your family.

I remember seeing Paul and Larry talking at Aunt Gracie’s service, and they both had lost a lot of weight. I told them this picture doesn’t take near as much film as it use to take. No matter how expected, this time in life still hurts for those left behind. Charlotte (I guess Paul started the Charlie thing) you and yours are in my prayers.
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.

When I was 14 years old, Charlie and Paul took me to Disneyland ! I was so very excited that I could hardly stand it! Paul drove the entire way and was always cutting up and goofing around. On one highway we came across a big long train. Paul decided he could outrun that dumb old train with his hot car! Well he grabbed ahold of that steering wheel, hunched his shoulder slightly , and put the petal to the metal and sure enough outran that sucker! He was beaming with pride! However as we passed that old train we realized that it was indeed stopped! We have ribbed Paul about it for years! He took it like a champ and always a big old grin! Loved my brother! Jean Hailey
