Paul “Andy” McChesney

December 13, 1979 - June 19, 2020

Paul Leander McChesney III, aka “Andy” was born on December 13, 1979 at 5:34 AM  in Ft Lewis, Washington  to Paul Leander McChesney Jr and Dixie Anna Woolverton McChesney Dunning and passed June 19, 2020 at 10:02 PM at the age of 40 yrs. 6 months 6 days.  He graduated from Coronado High School in 2000 and attended South Plains College Lubbock and in Levelland.  Andy loved family gatherings for holidays and being with his family. He spent many summers fishing with his maternal grandfather who was also teaching him the trade skills of an Electrician.  He worked as a phlebotomist while studying to be a surgical technician.  Andy enjoyed gaming and cooking and he had mad kitchen skills, having worked in the restaurant business. He was always excited to share his knowledge and skill.   Andy accepted Christ at a young age and followed Christ in baptism August 1990.  He was kind, gentle and giving.Survivors include his mother, Dixie Anna Woolverton McChesney Dunning; father, Paul Leander McChesney Jr; and sisters, Amy McChesney-Hays, and Vanessa McChesney-ShirleyHe is preceded by his grandparents, Paul Sr. and Katherine McChesney and Orville and Beverly Woolverton; sister, Kelly Suzanne McChesney and cousin, Macy McChesney.A small family gathering was held on June 23, 2020.

Grandma W was in the hospital and needed a new IV. No one could get it started. They sent for the hospital’s best. In walked Andy. He was able to start the IV. He made a real difference. If being remembered is what we all want? This is what I choose to remember about Andy McChesney. Kind. Gentle. Loving. Be at peace. You are loved and you are missed.
