Oscar Paul Power passed away on Tuesday, June 10, 2025, with his wife by his side. Oscar was born in Hereford, TX, on April 6, 1932, to Harvey Marion Power and Carolyn Sherman Power. He grew up in Whiteface, TX, and spent his summers working on his grandfather’s farm in Hereford. After graduating from Whiteface High School in 1950, he attended Texas Tech University and was a Kappa Sigma fraternity member and a proud Red Raider. Oscar joined the Army and was stationed in Ft Sill, OK, then traveled back to Lubbock, where he met his wife of 70 years, Sue Power. They were married on September 8, 1954, and had five children.
Oscar was always a salesman but found his true calling in 1959, joining Mustang Mobile Homes. After several years, he bought the business and grew his “Mustang Family” that he dearly loved and appreciated. He held several positions with the Texas Mobile Home Association and the National Mobile Home Institute. In June 2002, he sold Mustang but was actively involved for several more years. This only enlarged his “Mustang Family” with more lifelong friends.
Oscar and Sue are actively involved in First Christian Church and members of the Upper Room Sunday school class.
