Opal French

Opal French was born on December 9, 1928 to Jeffery and Ela Cross in Lamar County, Texas. On November 13, 1944, Opal married the love of her life, Glen in Lubbock, Texas. Opal earned a Bachelor of Science from Texas Tech University in 1970, and a Master of Science from Texas A&I University in 1977. She was a retired school teacher and a member of LakeRidge Baptist Church. 

Survivors include her sister, Shirley Graham; two sister-in-laws, Virgie Cross and Phyllis Cross; numerous nieces and
nephews; and a host of friends. 

A special acknowledgement for her dedicated care giver, Mary Jenkins, who cared for her the past 5 years. 

She was preceded in death by herparents, Jeffery B. and Ela Bell Cross; spouse, Glen French, sons, Cary French
and Glen Edward French; siblings, James Thomas, Jack, Jelly, Leslie, and Billy Cross, and Kathryn Squier.
