The family of Norma Jean Allery will host a gathering of family and friends from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM on Sunday, April 23, 2023, at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers. A service to celebrate her life of 88 years is scheduled at 11:00 AM on Monday, April 24, 2023, at Lake Ridge Chapel. The graveside service will be on Tuesday, April 25, 2023, in the Springhill Cemetery, Kiowa County, OK. She died on Thursday, April 20, 2023. Norma was born October 1, 1934, to the late Walter and Eunice (Beckham) LaBerge in Hobart, OK. She married Richard Allery on July 24, 1955, in Cooperton, OK.  Norma was working for an insurance company when she and Richard got married and she continued working until he finished school in Norman, OK. They moved to the Lubbock area in 1966.  She was a member of the First Methodist Church in Wolfforth. Norma was a homemaker who enjoyed her family and friends immensely. Her spitfire personality and competitive nature kept you on your toes and in line.  She loved playing games, riding four-wheelers, RVing, basketball games, crocheting, and various crafts.

Mrs. Allery is survived by her husband, Richard Allery; daughters, Jo Ann (William) Beard, and Karen (Larry) Burnett; grandchildren, Amanda (Robert) Greer, Jason Beard, and Claire Burnett; sister, Wanda Randall; and brother, Roger LaBerge.
