We lost our dearly beloved Nathan Luger on May 18, 2022. The 102 old, 20-year veteran served in the Air Force in the Aleutian Islands (off Alaska) in WWII, protecting America.Nathan was honored in D.C. as an Honor Flight recipient where he had a great time touring our nation’s capital. He was a long-time member of Shaareth Israel temple where he blew the shofar and chanted the cantor for the congregation. The robust centenarian fed the homeless well into his 90s and enjoyed his daily walks. He was the center of attention on his 100th birthday, where his family and friends gathered to celebrate his life.Nathan married Connie M. Edmonson on Oct. 14, 1945, at Reese Chapel. Nathan and Connie had three children: Carol (Robin) Luger, Greg Luger (Myrna), and D. Luger. He leaves behind Marci, his wife of 17 years, who has 2 children – Kelly Stanaland (Kendall) and Don. C. Dodd, Jr., and grandchildren Dr. Cody Dodd (Megan), Madison Burns (Lt. Colonel Travis), Brianna Dodd, and Hannah Parsons (Todd).Special thanks to Carlotta Washington, who helped take care of our loved one with grace and love. His family will host a gathering and celebrate his life of 102 years at 1:00 PM on Friday, May 27, 2022, at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers.
