On October 1, 2017 the good Lord blessed this world with an angel, Mikayla Jade Moye. Mikayla was born at 24 weeks and 3 days to Ryan and Whitney (Thomas) Moye and from day one captured the hearts of everyone that knew her. She was full of smiles, love, and life. Mikayla loved listening to music, watching her mobile, and sucking on her pacey. She loved hearing her mom and dad’s voices as they walked through the door and seeing their faces. She would squeeze there finger with her tiny hand and stick her tongue out. She wasn’t a fan of diaper changes but did love bath time and being rubbed down with lotion. She was very strong, feisty, and fought hard through all of her difficulties but always overcame and showed everyone her resilience. She was the definition of a warrior and her strength has given all she knew strength. Mikayla’s life on earth was very short, but very impactful. On March 13, 2018 the good Lord brought her home and she gained her wings.
Mikayla is survived by her loving parents, Ryan and Whitney (Thomas) Moye; brother, Mason Mabee of Lubbock; Nonnie, Judi Pardue and husband Curtis Clemonds of Ft. Worth; Papa, Gary Thomas of Lubbock; Grandpa, Raymond Michael Moye and wife Cari of Lubbock; great-grandmothers, Kathryn Moye of The Colony, and Jessie Joy Thomas of Lubbock; along with numerous uncles, aunts and cousins.
Family and friends will gather to celebrate her life on Saturday, March 17, 2018, at 4 PM at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers with reception to follow.
