The family of Micki Walker will celebrate her life of 65 years at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, March 15, 2022, at the Highland Baptist Church. She married Cliff Walker on April 24th, 2004, at her mother’s home in Eastland, Texas. Micki was a devoted employee of Texas Tech University, retiring in 2016, she and Cliff continued to attend sporting events for years after. She was passionate about spending time outdoors at the family property, Ruff Acres, and in her own beautiful garden where she hosted weddings and the annual Skeeter Fest every summer. She had an imaginative spirit, taking much pleasure in arts & crafts and for anyone who has visited her beloved home can attest to, antiquing, junking, and renovating. Both her and Cliff enjoyed traveling the United States, making new friends, and collecting many souvenir spoons along the way. She was an active member of Highland Baptist Church, volunteering much of her time to the betterment of its ministries and members. She was a loving wife, mother, and Nana delighted in watching her family grow with every grandchild, great-grandchild, and grand puppies. Her passion for God showed through her love of others and she left us with a legacy of what it means to live a life filled with Christ’s love.Survivors include her husband, Cliff Walker; brother, Don (Rosalie) Bradshaw; children, Damon (Mandi) Weatherly, Lindsay (Dave) Speakes, Logan Weatherly, Kelli (Tyler) Fielding, Megan (Jett) Davis; grandchildren, DJ Weatherly, Dani Weatherly, Cole Ryder Hatchett, Bailey Weatherly, Max Fielding, Dakota Fielding; great-grandchild, Delilah Weatherly.She was preceded in death by her father, Rankin Bradshaw, mother, Marzelle Bradshaw, and sister Sandra Kurtin.
