On January 20, 1961, Mary was born to William and Yvonne Koozer in Alliance, NE. She graduated from Hereford High School and Texas Tech University with a degree in psychology. Mary married Wayne Pierce on August 23rd, 1993 in Lake Tahoe.

Mary spent the majority of her career in Human Resources. She spent several years at Industrial Molding and was most recently employed by Interim Home Health as the Vice President of Human Resources.

Mary’s free time was mostly spent with her daughter, Reagan, at the pool, a beach, traveling, shopping, or binge-watching shows on Netflix. She loved Texas Tech football and she spent most of her summer weekends at the pool, often with her daughters and granddaughters by her side. Mary’s three greatest loves were her family, cats, and sunshine.

Survivors include her children, Reagan Pierce, Nicole Pierce, Lindsey (Daric) Thompson, Casandra (Dan) Bryant, Travis Conner – nephew but more like a son; grandchildren, Briley Wainscott, Olivia Davis, Charley Thompson; her mother, Yvonne Elliot; siblings, Cathy (Kelvin) Betzen, Karen (Gary) McPherson, Joni Koozer and sister-in-law, Penny Powers.
