The family of Frances Licon Berry will host a gathering of family and friends from 9:00 until 9:45 AM on Saturday, August 24, 2024, at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers, followed by a service to celebrate her life of 85 years at 10:00 AM. Frances will be available for viewing on Friday, August 23, 2024, from 9:00 until 5:00 PM. Frances, a beacon of love, laughter and a lady of impeccable taste, embarked on her final journey on August 20, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of her special personality and desire to live life fully. Her motto: Just to know her is to love her. Born on August 28, 1938, in Collin County, Texas, she was the first-born child of Maurice and Nadine Cain. Those waiting to join her are her husband, Gene Berry, and his family of bonus sons, daughters and grandchildren. Her sister, Helen (Bobby) Milligan; sister-in-law, Alynn (David) Polnick; brother, Harlan (Kayla) Cain; stepdaughter, Cathy Licon Nelson; nieces, Tamra (Michael) Dollar and Cary (Jeff) Taylor; nephews, Rod Crossland and Chad (Meredith) Cain; many great nephews and nieces and a host of special friends and relatives.
Frances went to first grade in Meadow, Texas, and the rest of her public education was at Ropes. She continued her formal education at Wayland Baptist and South Plains. She obtained her real estate license and spent many years working in the property management field.
She is preceded in death by her parents, and brother, David Cain.
