Mary Ewing

Maryhelen was born on August 16, 1942 to G. W. and Theo Young Prater in Paris, Texas. She graduated from Amarillo High School and Draughon’s Business College. On October 27, 1979, she married the love of her life, Charles Dale Ewing, Sr. in Lubbock, Texas. Over the last 37 years, Charlie and Mary successfully blended two families into one. She worked in administration in the freight business for many years, while also maintaining a successful Mary Kay business. She retired from Yellow Freight in 2003. Mary enjoyed bowling, watching softball, traveling with Charlie, spending time with friends, but her greatest joy of all were her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Survivors include her husband, Charlie Ewing; their children, D’Ann Kidd and husband, David, Charles Dale Ewing, Jr. and wife, Cheryl, Amy Van Meter and husband, Robert, Tiffany Jobe and husband, Wes; grandchildren, Cody Kidd and wife, Jaime, T.J. Kidd and wife, Elisha, Chad Kidd and fiancé, Cynthia, Megan Longworth and husband, Brent, Gracie Ewing, Edie Ewing, Ty Boatright and wife, Staysha, Dani Boatright and fiancé, Chris Luckey, Ryan Wall, Analisa Jobe, and Addie Jobe; 12 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Larry Prater and wife, Janice, Jim Prater and wife, Otisa. She was preceded in death by her parents; grandson, Charles Dale Ewing, III; brother, Wes Prater.
