Mark Widener, 78, of Lubbock, Texas, passed away peacefully on January 27, 2025, surrounded by his loved ones. Born on December 23, 1946, in Fort Worth, he was the son of the late Toby and MaryJane Widener. He was also preceded in death by his two brothers.
Mark shared a deep, enduring love with his wife, Reggi. They were married for 58 years, building a life full of memories, laughter, and mutual respect.
Mark was a dedicated general contractor throughout his life, known for his hard work, skill, and the pride he took in every project.
A proud student of Texas Tech University, he majored in Physical Education and minored in Bible. Mark’s life was shaped by a strong sense of faith and commitment to helping others.
A devoted father to his sons, Blake and Coy, he also cherished his daughter-in-law, Rebecca, and was overjoyed by the love of his grandchildren, Cooper, Lexi, and Aniston. Mark had a deep love for hunting, fishing, and fellowship. He enjoyed spending time outdoors with family and friends. His laughter, wisdom, and caring nature are deeply missed by all who knew him.
Mark is survived by his wife, Reggi; son Blake and his wife, Rebecca, and their children, Cooper and Lexi; son Coy and his daughter, Aniston. Also surviving are many other loving family members and a tremendous number of friends.
