Marietta Don Guetersloh

Marietta Don Guetersloh of Wolfforth, TX, passed from this life on Sunday, Sept. 11, 2016. She was born September 25, 1943, in Littlefield, Texas, to Everette and Opal Dreadin. Marietta married William Guetersloh on Aug. 19, 1960, and to this union three children were born. For seven years she resided in Pep, Texas, then moved to Plains, Texas, in 1967, where she spent many wonderful years, before moving to Wolfforth, in 2001.Marietta is preceded in death by her parents; and her sister, Evalene Ary. She leaves to cherish her memory her loving husband William (Billy); two sons, Billy Don Guetersloh, of Lubbock; Robby Dale Guetersloh and his wife Cathy of Plains; one daughter, Melissa Galvan and her husband Arthur of Denver City; eleven grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; one sister, Christine James and husband Louis of Longview; one sister-in-law, Lois Marez and husband Bob of Dallas; nephews, nieces, and many other relatives and friends. Marietta enjoyed arrow head hunting, ceramics, fishing, gardening, bingo, and watching Texas Tech football and basketball. She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Lubbock. Marietta will leave a gap in so many lives; she was such a caring wife, mother, and adoring Grand Mommy to all the grandkids and great-grandkids. She will be missed by many relatives and friends.
