Margaret Pauline Smith

Margaret was an excellent cook and accomplished seamstress. After retiring from teaching home economics at Lovington High School in Lovington, NM, she pursued her passion for fine needlepoint. She loved to read and travel and encouraged all to widen their experiences through both. Margaret is survived by her son, Stanley Smith and his wife Janet, her daughter, Suzanne Shanahan and her husband Pete, three granddaughters, Meghan Shanahan, Katie Shanahan, and Alexis Smith, her brother Paul Bieberdorf and his wife Lucy, and several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her husband, Wayne K. Smith, her parents, Leonard and Klara Bieberdorf, and two sisters, Gertrude Wilson and Barbara Krieger. Private service and burial in Santa Fe, New Mexico on May 31, 2016 arranged by Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers in Lubbock, 806 698-8085.
