It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Manuel Silva, who was born on June 21, 1959, in Palo Verde, Jalisco, Mexico. He was raised in the mountains on his family’s ranch by his loving parents, Manuel Silva and Celia Silva Munguia, alongside his 13 brothers and sisters. Growing up in the countryside, he cherished life on the ranch, surrounded by animals, farming, and the beauty of nature.
Seeking new opportunities, he eventually made his way to Lubbock, Texas, where he built a life for himself and his family. A hardworking man, he dedicated his life to construction, working tirelessly to provide for those he loved. His strong work ethic, kindness, and unwavering commitment to his family and community left a lasting impact on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
Beloved by many, Manuel Silva will be forever missed. His legacy of love, strength, and generosity will live on in the hearts of those who knew him. Though he has left this world, his spirit remains in the memories and lives he touched.
Manuel is survived by his children, Steven (Melody) Silva, Manuel Silva Jr., Lupita (Jose) Valencia, Miguel Silva, Mariela Silva, Mariana Silva; grandchildren, Marcus Silva, Roman Silva, Heaven Silva, Lourdes Silva, Lillian Silva, Nathan Silva, Israel Garza Jr., Michael Garza, Yasmin Valencia, Jose Valencia Jr., Manuel Silva; mother, Selia Silva-Munguia; and many other family and friends
He is preceded in death by his father Manuel Silva Sr.
