Luis S. Rodriguez Sr.

The family of Luis S. Rodriguez, Sr. is gathering to recite the Holy Rosary at 6:00 PM, Wednesday, April 12, 2023, at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers followed by a time of visitation. A Mass celebration honoring his life of 75 years is scheduled at 10:00 AM, Thursday, April 13, 2023, at St. Philip Benizi Catholic Church, Idalou, Texas.  A graveside service will follow at the Idalou Cemetery. Luis S. Rodriguez was born October 7, 1947, to Elojio and Leonor (Serna) Rodriguez, Sr. in Harlingen, TX. He married Rose Chagolla on May 15, 1969, at the City of Lubbock Courthouse in Lubbock, TX. He worked for the City of Lubbock Sanitation Department for 38 years before his retirement. Luis enjoyed attending all Idalou sporting events. He took pride in supporting all of his grandkids.

Mr. Rodriguez is survived by the love of his life; Rose Marie Rodriguez; children, Luis (Sylvia) Rodriguez, Jr., Liza (Armando) Robledo, Veronica (Brandon) Duvall, and Nicholas (Esperanza) Rodriguez all of Idalou, nine grandchildren; and two sisters.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Elojio, Sr. and Leonor Rodriguez; one sister, three brothers; and a granddaughter.
