The family of Linda Reaves Wyatt will celebrate her life of 79 years at 10:00 AM on Friday, August 26, 2022, at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers. Her family will host a time of fellowship and remembrance from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers, Thursday, August 25, 2022. She passed on Sunday, August 21, 2022. On August 11, 1943, Linda was born to Bennett and Darlene (Montgomery) Reaves in Big Spring, TX. Linda graduated from Monterey High School in 1961. She began her Psychiatric nursing career by taking pre-requisites at Texas Tech and completing her training at Methodist (Covenant) Nursing School, graduating in June 1977. She worked the 11-7 shift at the Methodist Psychiatric Hospital Unit until Charter Plains Behavioral Center Hospital opened around 1982. When she retired from Charter, she began her next stage in life of crafting and making more friends and caretaking of family members. She was a wonderful mother, sister, wife, aunt, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great-grandmother, and friend to most everyone she met. Frank and Linda married on August 5, 1980, in Lubbock, Texas, after meeting at Methodist Hospital.
Survivors include her daughter, Lynn Berlanga; grandchildren, Allen (Vicky) Putman, Sylinda (Gabriel) Stairs, Leslie Altman, Brent (Catherine) Phillips, Andrew Phillips, and David (Sammantha) Berlanga, eleven great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and sisters, Beverly (Kerry) Ibison, and Valerie (Keith) Kyle.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Frank Wyatt; son, Scott Phillips; sister, Cynthia Fox and a son-in-law, Albino Berlanga.
The family of Linda Wyatt has designated the Rheumatoid Arthritis Foundation for memorial contributions donated in her memory.
