On June 27, 1944, Linda was born to Charlie and Evelyn Adams in Waco, TX. She graduated from Monterey High School in 1963. She married Gerald Rankin on November 22, 1974, in Clovis, NM.

Survivors include her children, Tracy Pitcock (Lyle Wood), Tonya (Brian) Edwards, Scott (Roxie) Rankin, Hal Rankin (Tammy), Wayne Holmes (Carrie); grandchildren, Anthony (Bekah) Rodriquez, Cody Rankin, James Pitcock, Matthew Pitcock, Kyle Pitcock, Zane Rankin, Zack Rankin, Zerek Rankin, Imarie Rankin, Bailey Edwards, Kirsty (Colin) Faehn; 7 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; and sister, Elaine English.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Rankin; father, Charlie Adams; and mother, Evelyn Watson.
